WHAT WE DO
Enugu Welfare and Cultural Foundation (EWCF) exists to promote social inclusion and community development for people of Enugu origin living in the North West of England.
Our focus is on reducing social and economic disadvantage through education, mentoring, skills development, career support, and leadership programmes. Cultural expression is used only as a tool to encourage participation and integration, not as an end in itself.
All our work is directed exclusively to those of Enugu origin in the North West, ensuring our activities are fully aligned with our charitable objectives.

Community Engagement through Culture
We use aspects of Enugu culture such as storytelling and drama only as methods to build social cohesion and participation. These activities are incidental, serving to strengthen inclusion and confidence among people of Enugu origin living in the North West of England.

Social Inclusion
We work to prevent and relieve the effects of social and economic exclusion among people of Enugu origin living in the North West of England.
Through education, mentoring, skills training, and career support, we help individuals overcome barriers that limit their opportunities to participate fully in society. Our programmes focus on those who are most disadvantaged, providing pathways into education, employment, and community life.

Supporting Our Community
At the Enugu Welfare and Cultural Foundation (EWCF), we support individuals and families of Enugu origin living in the North West of England who face social or economic disadvantage.
Our welfare initiatives provide practical assistance, such as advice, mentoring, and access to resources to help people overcome immediate challenges. Alongside this, we equip families with the tools and skills they need to achieve long-term stability, integration, and participation in society.
Our Objectives

– Offering employment and career support for those excluded from the labour market.
– Delivering leadership programmes that enable individuals to participate fully in society.
– Using cultural engagement only as a means to strengthen inclusion and social bonds.

We assist those who are unemployed or underemployed to find sustainable work. Our initiatives include CV clinics, interview preparation, workplace skills training, and access to networks that support long-term employment. The focus is always on those excluded from the labour market, not those already established in work.
